You can access your college emails, from anywhere and on any device with the Outlook Mobile App. Check your college email on the go with your mobile phone.

This post will cover some great tips and guides for using the Outlook app on your mobile device, including:

Set Up Notifications. It's important to have your notifications turned on for Outlook, this is so you get alerts and are notified when you receive a new email.

Go to your settings on your mobile, then select 'Notifications'. Find the Outlook app in the list of applications and make sure that notifications are turned on.

Send a Message. Click on the 'Create New Message' button, this is a blue circle with a white plus sign in the middle. In the 'to' box, enter in the name or ID number of the person you'd like to email. If you are emailing a tutor, start by entering their first name. Then select 'Search Directory' to find the person you'd like to email.

Format Text in Outlook. Create a new message in the app and select the formatting text icon. This is the icon with a pencil and the letter 'A'.

Here, you can choose different font styles (Body, Title, Subheading etc). You are also able to format the text to be bold, in italics, underlined and create bullet points.

Outlook Mobile Toolbar: Use the toolbar in Outlook mobile when you create a new message.

Send your availability to someone. This will use your Outlook calendar to see when you are available.

Attach a file. Locate the file on your phone and open the file to attach in your email. This is perfect if you are emailing files from your phone to a college computer to print.

Attach an image. Choose images from your camera roll to send as an attachment.

Dictate. Click on this icon and speak into your phone and allow the phone to type the message out for you!

Send. Once you are happy with your message, click on this icon to send your message.

Use the Search Bar. Click 'search' at the bottom of the app. Here, you can easily find emails and addresses. Enter a keyword, topic, phrase or name to search through and filter your emails.

Outlook Calendar: Next to search, is your student calendar. Click here to see your college timetable. This will include information for all your lessons including a date, time and location for all your college lessons. You can also add in deadlines for work and any key college dates.
